The electrical connector is also located a little too low and forward to fit through the original factory rectangular sheet metal opening. To install this mirror it was necessary to drill a 5/8 hole in the lower forward corner of the factory rectangular sheet metal opening, and also file the opening a little. The original Nissan factory electrical connector must be turned up side down to fit into this replacement mirror.
