NEW UNITY 11030 STRUT ASSEMBLY FRONT-EITHER SIDE (REPL. MONROE 171920) Review

There is a slight difference between the OEM struts and these which make installation a little tedious. The OEM version has a tapered bottom which makes fitting the strut into the spindle housing much easier. Also these Unity struts has some weld slag right around the base which I had to clean off before the strut would go all the way through the spindle housing. Still, much cheaper than the Monroe and the ride is very good. I'd buy them again.

Confession- I picked this radiator because it was the cheapest one I could find. That always makes me a little nervous that I'm going to end up with a piece of junk, or some kind of semi-universal part that would need some 'field engineering' before it fits.

This radiator arrived in perect condition, nicely packed in a big box. It looks to be made as well as the OEM unit which lasted 160,000 miles. It fit the car perfectly- all the fittings were correct, and were in the right place. 100% smooth bolt-on!

No problems after 2 weeks of daily driving, so I wouldn't hesitate to put a Shepherd radiator in any of my other cars.

I got this at a great price. I was aware it had to be programmed by a VW dealership. VW dealers are making a killing on programing keys. My local VW Dealer charges $120 to re-program the remotes and the car. All remotes must re-programed, which I knew. It is pure profit as it only takes about 5 minutes to do. I like the product, but think the VW Dealerships should charge about half as much.

Kuryakyn ISO Grips 6180 Review

I replaced the stock 1993 GL1500 SE grips with these ISO grips and I am so glad I did. With the stock grips my right (throttle) hand would hurt during long rides especially during highway travel where I held the throttle open for long periods of time. With these ISO grips and a pair of gloves that have tactile palms (which I also had with the stock grips), I never have that hand fatigue nor any pain. I think the circumference of the ISO grips is less which helps and the rubber pads make the grip easier to hold. They also seem to reduce the vibration of the bike that comes through the handlebars. I also installed the large, contoured Throttle Boss which helps hold the throttle open so I recommend that product as well for an overall, major improvement in right-hand comfort. One caution - the glue that comes with this product dries almost immediately so you have to make sure you get the grips into the position you want quickly. Also, if you put too much glue such that it gathers up at the bike side of the grips, have an absorbent rag ready to absorb the excess.

K&S 70-4041-13D8 Complete Gasket Kit Yamaha Warrior 350 1987-2004 Review

I planned a complete engine teardown, when I looked into gasket kits they seemed to come in top and bottom end kits. I found that even when you combine both top and bottom kits you never got all of the gaskets required for the full teardown. This one is only a little more than buying a top or bottom end kit individually and it has literally every gasket and O-ring and copper washer required for the entire engine and transmission all in one package. Worth every penny just in case that "top end" rebuild goes south after you drop the circlip that holds the piston in down into your crankcase and you cant get it out. You would be surprised how easy it is to do! with this kit that cost me just a little bit more you would have the gaskets you need to pop the case and retrieve the clip before it does any damage. If everything goes good then you have what you need for a future build.
