This tow bar is very dangerous. The tow bar has a picture of a jeep. I used the tow bar to tow a jeep and the horrible "tack" welds used to hold the tow bar together broke and seperated. Also, two bolts broke on the tow bar. It nearly caused us to crash.

It is a terrible, cheap knock off. The rated capacity of the tow bar is 5,000 lbs. It is no where near strong enough to tow 5,000 lbs in any way. I was misled into thinking this product was of any reasonable quality, and would be sufficient to to a Jeep. WE COULD HAVE DIED DUE TO THIS HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!!

To remedy the situation I purchased a new tow bar of a reputable name from a dealer. The new tow bar which I purchased was a REESE brand tow bar. It is completely obvious that the imitation tow bar that I purchased on Amazon.com is a complete knock off of the REESE brand tow bar.

Bottom line: If your safety matters at all, don't buy it.
