CURT Manufacturing 56100 T-Connector Review

I have a 2011 Kia Sorento with a 4 cylinder. After much research, I discovered that only the 6 cylinder comes prewired for a trailer. Its necessary to use this kit to tap into the brake/turn signals as well as power it with a 12v feed directly from the battery. I'm very mechanically inclined, but I dreaded having to go through all of this just to hook up a trailer. I'm happy to say that this kit made it super simple to complete the process. Easy to follow instructions and all everything provided was great.

My only complaints are that the wireties that were provided are tiny and not enough. I had my own and I recommend you use WAY more than whats provided. And my other issue is that the black box needs to be conencted via the supplied connectors to each tail light assembly. The wire going to the right assembly is ample to reach with plenty to spare. However the left was enough to reach the left tail assembly, but only if you now have the black box just hanging in the void just under the light. Its supplied with double sided tape to stick it to the sheet metal, but the void is so small, its just enough room to fit the black box down in there and no easy way to push it against anything to make it stick. I can't fit my hand in there from the bottom going up and no way to do it from the top side. Will it go anywhere? I doubt it,but it makes it a challenge to get the left tail assembly back into place.

Overall, its still a huge time saver and a nicely built piece. Worked out great for me and would recommend this over cutting and tapping into any wires.
