After installing grille, I have to make a comment. (1) following your instructions, it became clear that no one had installed this on an actual vehicle. Yes you can use the two lower mounting tabs on the grille with two of the four toggle bolts supplied, but you can't utilize the upper tabs to secure grille to the car since the bumper plate prevents mounting with supplied hardware!! (2) If I may make a suggestion, move the upper tabs inboard from the current location, to 3" from center, left and right, supply two sheet metal screws, then you can secure grille assembly to the metal plate hidden behind the bumper. This is the plate used to mount a front license plate bracket from the factory. (3) Since the '09 MX-5 has a chrome grille surround, I would leave the top grille bar highly polished, instead of the powder coating on the upper surface, as this would make for a cleaner look visually.
