Gabriel G52022 Ultra Strut Review

I'm a nut for sports sedans of all kinds. So after my car crossed the century mark and its struts turned to bedsprings, I knew I didn't want to replace them with inexpensive base units. But likewise I didn't want to spend $900 or so on coil-overs because I'm not going to be doing any track competing. After a lot of research I went for the Gabriel Ultras because they are essentially the same as KYB GR-2 struts but about $15 cheaper per strut, and both brands are a cut above OEM units. Now the car rides firm again and corners nice n' controlled. Next oil change I'll also be swapping out both sway bars' rubber bushings with prothane bushings to further flatten the cornering. Gotta' love this stuff.

Only reason I don't give the Gabriel Ultras 5 stars is because, like most stuff these days, they aren't made in USA.
