Signal Dynamics Back Off Brake Hold Module 1020 Review

From the beginning. Trying to figure out the bikes wiring is a huge paine. Would be a lot easier if Backoff came with a complete wiring kit. Got it all hooked up and it didn't work. Called company, they were nice and helpful. They had me take the positive wire from the backoff unit to the battery, and tap it repeatedly and the unit magically started working. I had a few more times when going out to ride and doing my check list that I would have to hit the brakes repeatedly to get it to start working. But know it works every time with no problems. I know you're thinking that I didn't get the wiring tight with good connections. I'm really picking and don't beleive this was the problem. If I had to do it over again I would buy the brake light assembly that has the BackOff stuff built in. Later on I put the U or D lock under seat and it pushed on the BackOff module causing it not to work properly. Don't put anything pushing on unit, not even a little. Put Backoff on a 2011 Kawasaki Versys. Had to fabricate a plate to stick it on because of no good place to put it.
